How to Calculate Test Grade in 6 Easy Steps:

  • Step 1: Start by entering values in “Total Questions in Test ” and ” Wrong Answers “.
  • Step 2: Simply press the Reset, +1, -1 button next to the input fields to change the values.
  • Step 3: The result row and highlighted table row immediately shows the result when you change the values in any field.
  • Step 4: Click on the “Show decimals” button to view the more accurate result in decimals.
  • Step 5: For more result scaling options, choose between any of four given checkboxes under “Scale Grade by “. In order to find percentage with this test grade calculator, just change any input and the result will show percentage. Third column in table also shows percentage.
  • Step 6: The result row and scaled grade column show grades in letters from A to F when you click on the scaled grade check box. The GPA checkbox shows the result in 0-4 or 0.00-4.00 form.
  • Step 6: There are three color codes for the result, green yellow, and red based on the score performance. The result row and the highlighted table row will change its colors when you input or change any data.

Just follow this easy example in order to figure out what is your grade on a test :

  • Input “20” into the “Total Questions” field.
  • Input “4” for assignments missed or not completed correctly.
  • Select “Letter Grades” as the grading scale, with “Show Decimals” unchecked.
  • Result Interpretation: The calculator shows your result as “80% (B),” with a green color indicating you’re performing well but have room for improvement.

Grading Scale options:

  • Percentage Grades: Default checkbox option to show results in percentage
  • Letter Grades: Categorizing scores into letters from A to F
  • GPA Scale (0 – 4.0) : Shows result in the form of GPA from 0-4.0
  • GPA Scale (0.00 – 4.00): More precise conversions from 0.00 to 4.00
